Sam let Adrienne have his tent and we tried to sleep on two wooden
benches. The dew fell at 9.00 and soaked our sleeping bags so
we moved under the shelter. Sam slept on the ground and I slept sitting
up on the bench seat. Gpt up to stretch my legs at 3.00 and
saw a glorious single shooting star with a tail fiery tail that seemed
to fill the sky. Slept until 5.00 when the first hint of dawn appeared.
Walked up and down the camino to get warm.
At at around 7.00 I lit a small fire and collected all the rubbish around the
    site and burnt it.
At 8.00 the first pilgrim appeared, eyes fixed on the road ahead. He did
    not stop.

31 October
Set out with Adrien von Robé intending to walk all night by the glorious light
     of a waxing gibbous moon.
Here is a picture of the previous moon - a waning crescent seen from Frómista on the 18th
We had overlooked the fact that the moon just like the sun rises and sets.
By two am the moon had disappeared and the Camino was leading us though a forest.
Not being equipped with torches we decided to sleep on the bank.
Adrien snuggled down in his bag. I had dumped my bag a few days earlier
to save weight but there is point in regret.
Shoes off, feet in empty rucksack, woolen jumper and coat on
and a poncho as a ground sheet sufficed. aAll in all not a bad night.

Hotel Suiza I was the only guest. The service was personal.
best meal of the camino. By now my metabolism was racing away
and I needed calories, lots of calories.
The meal was served in the pan it was cooked in and consisted of
chips swimming in garlic olive oil with a layer of
roasted peppers, a layer of fried mushrooms, and topped by
three fried eggs; accompanied by a loaf of bread and a bottle of wine.
